Just wanted to send a quick note to wish everyone a Happy Easter and to welcome Spring. There are also a few things coming up that might be of interest.
We will be closed on Sunday, March 27 so that we can enjoy Easter with our families.
Stop in and check out our many new fabrics. We have new Moda lines (of course), batiks (to keep Carol happy), beautiful bird and floral fabrics, metallics and fun kids fabrics. There are new wide backs and the new Kim Diehl line has also arrived(along with new WHAT NOT PATTERNS). There's too much to cover in this email. Let's just say...there's lots of new stuff. We also said a sad goodbye to the Crib. We needed more space for the fabric. I guess it's a small price to pay. Many thanks to Gary for making the new fabric racks.
There are quite a few classes scheduled at the shop. Check out our WEBSITE for all the details or call the shop. Visit www.karensquiltcorner.com for more details.
Of particular note,
Sue Pritt will be back on Saturday April 9. She has her new “Sewing By The” series.
Open Sews (free) every Tuesday & Thursday (11am-4pm) but we encourage you to call.
Betsy will have a 2 part T-Shirt quilt class (April 6 & 20).
Carol continues her pre-cut classes (April 23).
Carol also offers kids classes for younger sewers (5-7) to make hand sewn projects. Older students will sew
projects on machines.
Beginner's class April 17.
Check out the WEBSITE for other offerings or call the shop to discuss/schedule your own class.
We were a bit ambitious and scheduled two Quilt Shows for the first weekend in April. Marlene & Betsy will be traveling to Clifton Park, NY to the Empire Quiltfest at Shenendehowa High School East (April 2-3). Jean, Gary and I will be in Springfield at the Pieces of Time Quilt Show (April 1,2 & 3) located at the Cedars. Both shows are wonderful. You won’t be disappointed if you attend. If you go to either show, stop in and say hi. Not to be forgotten, Carol will hold down the fort at the shop with help from some special friends.
We will also be starting two BLOCK OF THE MONTH quilts. One is a mystery Quilt of landscapes representing different areas of the US. The other is a beautiful batik quilt called “Star Stuff”. We have samples in the shop.
Row-by-Row will begin in June. We’re working on our row. Expect something a little different this year. We are coordinating our row with our fellow MA Shop Hop Quilt Shops. Our license plates have arrived and will be on sale soon. The Row-By-Roy theme for 2016 is “HOME SWEET HOME”.
If you still have many Row’s from prior years. Carol is offering some classes on Row-By-Row so you can come in and work on these rows. It’s a great way to get inspired and motivated for the new ones that will be coming out in June.
I'll be sending out more details on Classes, Row-By-Row and Shop Hop soon.
Thanks for your support and have a great day! Until we see you again...enjoy & happy quilting!
