TAX FREE Weekend & upcoming classes

Hi,

Hope you are all enjoying your summer!  It seems to be flying by very quickly.

We’re busy at the shop, receiving new fabrics and making samples.   We have lots of new Fall and Winter/Christmas fabrics.  We’ve also had shipments of batiks, children’s fabrics and flannels!  Come visit and see what is new!

Tax Free Weekend:

Massachusetts has re-instituted their Tax Free Weekend this coming weekend 8/11-8/12.   In addition I figure we might as well do a quick sale to make things a little more interesting.  So, for Saturday & Sunday (8/11-8/12) we'll also take 15% off on batik bolts.  Come shop in air conditioned comfort, stock up on batiks and pay no tax!

Classes:

Just wanted to remind you of currently scheduled classes coming up as well as a few new ones that we just scheduled.

Sue Pritt will be here this Saturday 8/11 from 9:30-3:30.  We have an open seat if anyone is still interested.  It’s a great opportunity to learn a new technique in landscape quilting or a time to continue working on one already in progress.

Next Saturday 8/18, Carol will be teaching the BQ3 Quilt.  A fun quilt for large prints!

In September, Betty King is teaching two fun sewing projects.  On Thursday, September 20 from 5-7pm she will be showing us how to make a Quilted Storage Can/Organizer.  On Saturday, September 22 from 11am-2pm she’ll be teaching a Quilted Carrying Bag for sewing notions.  These are great projects either for yourself or for gifts.  Sorry that the pictures aren't rotated properly, but  I couldn't figure out how to display them properly.  Isn't technology great!  We have samples in the shop!

In October we’re happy to announce that Kathy Gaul will be back to teach one of her more popular project, Winter’s Woodland Gift.  Unlike many of our classes, this does NOT include any sewing (hand or machine).  But the finished project is a stunning decoration that you’ll be able to display for years to come.  Marlene made one last year and the sample is hanging in the shop.   (A separate email will be sent shortly regarding this class).

Also in October, Carol will be teaching Radiant a Fat Quarter Quilt.  Carol made a beautiful sample with Christmas fabrics.

In November, Carol will be teaching a class in making a Travel Pillow.  This will make a great gift for a child of any age.  A pillow with a handle and pocket!  Very cute.

Check out our WEBSITE or call the shop for more information.  We’re continuing to work on the class schedule and will keep you posted with any updates.  If you have any suggestions, please let us know.

Have a great day!  Hope to see you soon.
