Quick update and new class
Hi everyone,
Just a quick note that we will be closed Easter Sunday, April 21.
Despite the bit of snow last night, we're supposed to have a nice weekend.
Don't forget that we'll be at two quilt shows this weekend. They are both wonderful shows. Come say hi or stop in the shop to see some our our newest additions.
Hands Across the Valley is holding their 17th biennial Quilt Show at the UMASS Amherst Campus Center in Amherst MA. 10:00am-4:00pm on both days.
Quilters United in Learning Together of Delmar, is holding their 2019 Quilt Show at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy NY. Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm, Sundy 10:00am-4:00pm.
Quilters Quest Shop Hop
Registrations have begun for the Quilters Quest Shop Hop. The dates are May 30- June 9. Start making plans to visit the 8 different shops. In addition to us, the other shops include Adirondack Quilts, Brookside Quiltworks, The Joyful Quilter, KC Framing and Fabrics, Log Cabin Fabrics, Pumpkin Patch and QuiltBug. Stop in the shop for more information or to sign up.
NEW CLASS
Sweet and Simple
Join Michelle Gajda to create a "sweet and simple" 48x48" quilt using simple embroidery and wool applique. We will make 20 blocks and set it with simple patchwork. Make a complete quilt or make each block its own little wall hanging. You will learn basic embroidery stitches and use up some of your wool scraps for the primitive motifs in each block. Come join the fun! A nice project to work on "on the go"!
We will meet 6 times April through June. The first 5 sessions will include 4 blocks (easy & basic stitching). The last class will be the finishing class. We have a material list at the shop. Hope you can join us. Call the shop for more information or to sign up.
